Case Study: Tower Transit

EFD met the team at Tower Transit in 2014.

The Tower Transit operation in London is a part of the Tower Transit Group. Established in 2013, the Group currently employs just over 1,700 driving staff and operates 450 buses  across 3 sites within the TFL London operation.

Tower Transit were looking for a supplier who shared their passion for providing a quality product and a first class service, the passion and knowledge EFD showed the team at Tower Transit regarding the garments and service meant this was a perfect match.

Tower Transit were looking for a uniform for their bus driving staff, which was not only contemporary and fit for purpose but offered their staff a choice. Whilst still meeting the strong branding requirements for the Tower Transit Group.

With the knowledge and experience at EFD, a fresh, fit for purpose range of garments was presented to the team at Tower Transit.

Following wearer trials, a formal and casual range of garments was selected for all the male and female driving staff.

EFD then worked closely with the management at Tower Transit, and successfully project managed the complete roll out of the new uniform to all 1,700 staff across the 3 depots in 2015.   

Through regular meetings and great communication between the team at Tower Transit and EFD, the relationship has gone from strength to strength.

Tower Transit are constantly growing and have a very pro-active recruitment program. This means that EFD was able to react quickly to sudden increases in the New Starter requirements through communication and a quick responding stock management system.

A second re-issue has been successfully completed in 2017 to all the depots.

EFD and Tower Transit are constantly reviewing the range of garments supplied to their staff to ensure that they receive the very best range of garments which meet their needs.
